    Altitude Sickness and Remedies

When the body cannot adjust to the low levels of oxygen and high air pressure found in high-altitude Mountains, sometimes due to these variations, altitude sickness problems happen. Many hikers and mountaineers experience acute mountain sickness at an altitude of 3000 meters because the oxygen level starts to decline. Headaches, fatigue, nausea, shortness of breath, dizziness, lack of sleep or inability to sleep, loss of appetite, and other symptoms are associated with acute mountain sickness. To prevent altitude sickness during the Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake Trek, take into account the following advice:

    • Keep yourself hydrated when hiking and stay away from alcohol because it dehydrates you.
    • Maintain a healthy diet throughout the trip.
    • Diamox, the most effective medicine for altitude sickness, should be brought along on the hike.
    • Don't hurry when hiking to a high altitude. You ought to walk carefully and slowly.
    • Before hiking at an elevation of more than 3,000 meters, acclimate appropriately.
    • If your body reveals any symptoms of altitude sickness, you must either stop immediately or lower your elevation.
