The Best Time

The best time to do the Tamang Heritage Trek is during March, April, and May. This is the spring season, and the trail is full of thousands of flowers and numerous vegetation. Accommodation and Meals

Preparation and Packing

You can do basic exercises that will help you build your endurance, core strength, and stamina. Activities like running, cycling, swimming, and jogging are also recommended. Elevation Gain

The Langtang Tamang Heritage Trail begins with a 6-7 hours scenic ride from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,467 m/4,811 ft). From here, the trail ascends via the lush forests to Rongga Bhanjyang and then descends for an hour to Goljung. The trail then continues to Gatlang (2,238 m/7,343 ft) for the night stay. The next day, you will begin trekking towards Tatopani village (2,607 m/8,553 ft). The trail ascends through forests of rhododendrons, pine, oak, fir, etc. There are natural hot springs in Tatopani that you can enjoy by paying a few extra bucks. Further, the trail goes to Thuman (2,338 m/7,669 ft) via Nagthali Danda at 3,300 meters (10,826 ft) and Brimdang village (2,229 m/7,313 ft). Briddim is the last village where you will spend the night before trekking back to Syabrubesi. While trekking, you will cross various suspension bridges and trek past cascading waterfalls and ancient stupas.

Trek difficulty and Altitude Sickness
