The journey begins with a two-hour drive from Pokhara to Kande, followed by a moderate trail through Australian Camp and Pothana, offering a gentle introduction to Himalayan trekking. Unlike other routes, the trail mainly winds through forests rich in rhododendrons and alpine trees, providing a peaceful and adventurous experience. As you ascend, the terrain becomes alpine, and at High Camp, temperatures drop and altitude may cause mild dizziness. Early morning after breakfast, depart from Kathmandu towards Pokhara via the scenic Prithvi Highway. The journey takes approximately 6–7 hours, covering about 200 km through beautiful rivers, hills, and countryside landscapes. Travel comfortably in a standard tourist bus on a mostly smooth highway. Upon arrival in Pokhara in the afternoon, you will have free time in the evening to explore the vibrant Lakeside area, enjoy a relaxed walk, cafés, or the peaceful view of Phewa Lake.

After breakfast in Pokhara, drive about 27 km to Kande. From Kande, begin your scenic hike passing through Australian Camp, enjoying beautiful views of the Annapurna range and surrounding hills. Continue trekking towards Pittam Deurali, covering approximately 6 km on foot. The trek takes around 3–4 hours, following forest trails and traditional villages, making it a pleasant and rewarding walk suitable for most trekkers.

Today’s trek covers around 14 km and takes approximately 5–6 hours. The trail leads through a peaceful jungle route, offering a true Himalayan trekking experience. Along the way, you will pass the popular teahouse areas of Forest Camp and Rest Camp, ideal spots for short breaks and refreshment. Surrounded by dense forest and mountain atmosphere, this day is both scenic and rewarding as you gradually gain altitude towards Low Camp.

Today’s walk is short yet very scenic, covering about 4.5 km and taking around 4 hours. After walking roughly 2 km, you will reach Badal Dada, an amazing viewpoint offering stunning views of the Annapurna range and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail). From Badal Dada, the trail continues on a gentle path with wide-open mountain scenery throughout. As you approach High Camp, the views become even more impressive, making this one of the most rewarding days of the trek.

Early in the morning, around 3–4 am, you will hike to the viewpoint to witness a breathtaking sunrise over Annapurna South. After enjoying the views, you may continue further up to Mardi Base Camp (4,500 m) if you wish—this part is optional and depends on your energy and conditions. After spending some time at the viewpoint/base camp, return to High Camp for breakfast, then begin a long descent towards Siding village via Low Camp (3,000 m). The total walking distance from High Camp to Siding is approximately 22 km. You will stop at Low Camp for lunch. Although the day is long, the trek is easier due to mostly downhill walking, passing through forests and traditional trails before reaching the peaceful village of Siding.

The road distance from Siding to Pokhara is approximately 44 km, which takes around 3 hours by vehicle. After reaching Pokhara, check in to your hotel and take some well-deserved rest.
