The Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour from Kathmandu begins early in the morning with a hotel pickup and transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport. After completing the airport formalities, you take a scenic helicopter flight toward Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region. After a short refuelling stop at Lukla, the helicopter continues to Pheriche, where a shuttle arrangement may be required for the high-altitude section, depending on the number of passengers, aircraft capacity, and operating conditions. From Pheriche, you fly toward Kala Patthar, one of the most spectacular viewpoints in the Everest region, offering breathtaking close-up views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori, and the surrounding Himalayan peaks. After experiencing the high-altitude landscape and taking photographs, the helicopter continues to Syangboche at Hotel Everest View, where you can enjoy breakfast surrounded by panoramic mountain views. Easy Start: Your Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour includes convenient hotel pickup and drop-off in Kathmandu. Please carry a copy or clear photo of your passport 

High-Altitude Flight: The helicopter can accommodate up to 5 travellers. For flights above 4,500m, passengers may need to be divided into smaller groups due to aircraft and high-altitude operating limitations. A group of five is normally divided into 3 + 2 at Pheriche, with both groups flying toward the Everest region before reuniting at Pheriche.

Best Views: After the Pheriche shuttle, you will receive a guaranteed window seat for the higher-altitude section, giving you an excellent perspective of Mount Everest, Kala Patthar, Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori, and the surrounding Himalayas.

Weather Matters: The Everest region is known for rapidly changing mountain weather. Flights operate only when weather, visibility, and aviation conditions are suitable. If your scheduled flight cannot operate, we will offer an alternative date subject to availability.

Refund Policy: If the flight cannot operate on the alternative date because of weather or circumstances beyond our control, and you cannot join another available date, the trip payment will be refunded after a USD 40 per person administrative fee. If a flight is canceled after airport check-in and you cannot join the rescheduled flight, the refund will be processed after applicable administrative fees and USD 60 per person airport transportation costs.

5:30 am – 5:50 am | Hotel Pickup & Airport Transfer
Our representative will pick you up from your hotel in Kathmandu and transfer you to the domestic terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport. The journey usually takes around 15–20 minutes.

5:50 am – 6:30 am | Airport Check-in & Flight Formalities
Complete the necessary airport procedures and prepare for your scenic helicopter flight to the Everest region. Please allow approximately 30–40 minutes for the formalities.

6:30 am – 7:30 am | Kathmandu to Lukla Flight
Take a spectacular helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (approximately 2,840 m). The flight takes around 50 minutes to 1 hour, although the timing may vary depending on weather and flight conditions.

7:30 am – 8:30 am | Lukla Refueling & Flight Toward Everest
After arriving at Lukla, the helicopter will refuel and prepare for the high-altitude flight. After approximately 10–15 minutes on the ground, continue toward the Everest region, with the flight taking around 30–45 minutes depending on conditions.

Pheriche Shuttle for High-Altitude Flight
Due to helicopter operating limitations above 4,500 meters, passengers may need to be divided into smaller groups for the high-altitude section. For a group of five, the passengers will normally be divided into 3 and 2 at Pheriche. Each group will then fly toward the Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar area before reuniting at Pheriche and continuing the journey together.

8:40 am – 11:00 am | Everest Region & Hotel Everest View
Continue through the Everest region and enjoy breathtaking Himalayan scenery before landing at Hotel Everest View (3,880 m). Take time to enjoy breakfast or an early lunch while surrounded by spectacular views of Mount Everest and the Khumbu Himalayas. Ground time is generally around 1–1.5 hours, depending on weather, visibility, and helicopter operations.

11:00 am – 12:00 pm | Return to Lukla & Kathmandu
Fly back toward Lukla for refueling before continuing the scenic helicopter flight to Kathmandu. The return flight generally takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour, subject to weather and operational conditions.

12:00 pm – 12:30 pm | Airport Transfer & Hotel Drop-off
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel or preferred location within Kathmandu. The transfer usually takes around 15–30 minutes.

However, spring (March to May) and autumn (October to November) are generally considered the best seasons for an Everest helicopter flight. During these months, the skies are often clearer, mountain visibility is better, and the surrounding landscapes are especially beautiful. What to Pack

Although the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour does not require trekking equipment, warm and practical clothing is essential because temperatures can be very cold at high elevations. We recommend wearing thermal layers with a warm down or insulated jacket, along with a windproof outer layer, gloves, warm socks, and a hat. Sunglasses and sunscreen are important because sunlight can be strong at high altitude. Bring your camera or smartphone for photographs, a small amount of water, and light energy snacks .A lip balm can also be useful in the cold, dry mountain environment.
