A Nepal village tour offers a unique opportunity to go beyond popular destinations and experience the true heart of the country. It allows travellers to connect closely with local communities, understand traditional lifestyles, and witness cultures that have remained unchanged for generations. Village tours provide a peaceful and meaningful travel experience. By choosing a village tour, you directly support local families, encourage sustainable tourism, and contribute to the preservation of Nepal’s rich cultural heritage, all while enjoying an authentic, slow, and responsible way of travelling. Experience the heart and soul of rural Nepal through an immersive Gorkha Village Tour, designed for those seeking authentic cultural encounters beyond the usual tourist paths. This journey invites you to discover the simple yet meaningful lifestyle of Nepalese villages, where farming, tending goats and cattle, cooking over open fires, experiencing teaching methods of community school and the real condition of the Nepalese community health system. Our villages are less crowded, untouched, and smiling. Our people greet you with a warm smile, offer local foods, and give you a chance to work with them. During your stay in the village, you will explore the nearby Hill station, typical villages. One of our attractions in this village is visiting Barpak Village. On April 25, 2015, Nepal was struck by a catastrophic earthquake known as the Gorkha Earthquake, with a magnitude of 7.8 Mw. After this earthquake, our village's original structure was changed, like wise beautiful Gurung village also changed its looks. Barpak is one of the beautiful villages in the Gorkha District. The amazing village gives you an extraordinary landscape view. Since the Nepalese people are known for their warm, welcoming nature, the Barpak Homestay tour is very popular in Nepal.

We chose Gorkha for this village tour because it truly reflects the soul of Nepal. Here, culture, village life, and natural beauty come together in the most genuine way. Gorkha is home to diverse communities living side by side, where traditions are still part of everyday life and guests are welcomed like family. It is also the gateway to the famous Manaslu Circuit Trek, adding to its cultural and geographical importance. Despite its authentic rural charm, Gorkha is conveniently located within 200 km of Kathmandu, making it easy to reach while feeling far from the rush of the city. Because we are from Gorkha, this journey is personal to us. We understand our villages, people, and traditions deeply, and that gives us strong confidence in providing a safe, well-managed, and meaningful experience for our guests. Our close relationship with the local community allows us to arrange comfortable homestays, genuine cultural interactions, and even connect interested travelers with volunteer opportunities through local authorities. This is not just a tour—it is an invitation to experience Gorkha the way we know it: warm, authentic, and deeply welcoming.

    Useful Info

    Essential Info

The best time to do a Nepal Village Tour is during the autumn (October to December) and spring (March to May) seasons, when the weather is pleasant, with blue skies, and easy transfer. While the village tour is possible throughout the year, autumn and spring offer more comfortable travel conditions and easier road transfers. If your visit coincides with the festive season, particularly in September to October, you’ll have the opportunity to witness and participate in Nepal’s major festivals such as Dashain and Tihar (Diwali)—a truly special cultural experience. In rural villages, ATMS are usually not available, so it’s important to carry sufficient local currency for any extra personal expenses. The food we provide during your stay in villages is typically organic and locally sourced, offering a healthy and authentic taste of village life. However, for your comfort, we recommend bringing dry snacks, chocolate bars, or energy foods, especially during long walks or hikes. We will accommodate local villagers' houses, so better to carry a sleeping bag for your extra comfort. It’s also wise to pack basic medicines or a small first-aid kit, as healthcare facilities in remote areas may be limited. For mobile connectivity, purchasing a Nepali SIM card with a data pack is advisable, since internet access can be limited in the villages.

    Foods and Accomodations

During your village tour in Nepal, you will stay in welcoming local villagers’ homes, experiencing daily life in its most authentic form. As you travel through different villages, you will discover the real beauty of rural Nepal—its culture, traditions, landscapes, and warm hospitality. While these villages were once very basic, they have now been upgraded to offer clean, comfortable, and essential amenities, and we ensure you are accommodated in the best possible homes available. All meals are prepared using pure, organic, and locally sourced ingredients, supporting healthy living and local livelihoods. This experience reflects our commitment to sustainable tourism, where community support, cultural preservation, and responsible travel come together.
