Useful Info

Best Time

Rafting in Nepal is possible in most months of the year because Nepal’s Himalayan rivers flow throughout the year. However, the best time for white water rafting in Nepal depends on river conditions, water levels, and weather. We do not recommend rafting during the monsoon season from June to August, when heavy rainfall can cause very high and fast-flowing rivers, making rafting conditions more challenging and unpredictable. Due to changing weather patterns and the effects of global warming, river conditions can remain unpredictable into September, so we also generally avoid rafting during this month. The best months for rafting in Nepal are, March to May and October to December and highly recommended as the best rafting season in Nepal, offering pleasant weather, favorable river conditions, clear mountain scenery, and an exciting Himalayan white water rafting experience. Whether you are looking for an exciting Trishuli River rafting, Seti River rafting, Bhote Koshi rafting, or another Nepal rafting adventure, choosing the right season makes your river journey safer, more comfortable, and more enjoyable.

 A World-Class Destination for Rafting

Nepal is a world-class destination for white water rafting, offering a wide range of rivers flowing from the Himalayas through beautiful valleys, remote countryside, and diverse cultural landscapes. With river grades ranging from easy Grade 2 to challenging Grade 5, Nepal has rafting adventures for beginners, families, and experienced thrill-seekers. Our rafting trips in Nepal are operated by experienced professional river guides and safety kayakers, using quality rafting and safety equipment. From the popular Trishuli and Seti Rivers for shorter and family-friendly rafting trips to the Bhote Koshi, Sunkoshi, and Karnali Rivers for more challenging adventures, there is a river experience for every type of traveler. We can customize your Nepal rafting adventure according to your preferred duration and river grade, whether you are looking for a short rafting experience, a multi-day expedition, or an exciting combination of rafting, wildlife, culture, and Himalayan scenery.
