On April 25, 2015, Nepal was struck by a catastrophic earthquake known as the Gorkha Earthquake, with a magnitude of 7.8 Mw. After this earthquake, our village's original structure was changed, like wise beautiful Gurung village also changed its looks. Barpak is one of the beautiful villages in the Gorkha District. Useful Info

Essential Info for Your Village Tour in Nepal

The best time to do a Nepal Village Tour is during the autumn (September to November) and spring (March to May) seasons, when the weather is pleasant, with blue skies, and easy transfer. While the village tour is possible throughout the year, autumn and spring offer more comfortable travel conditions and easier road transfers. If your visit coincides with the festive season, particularly in September to October, you’ll have the opportunity to witness and participate in Nepal’s major festivals such as Dashain and Tihar (Diwali)—a truly special cultural experience. In rural villages, ATMS are usually not available, so it’s important to carry sufficient local currency for any extra personal expenses. The food we provide during your stay in villages is typically organic and locally sourced, offering a healthy and authentic taste of village life. However, for your comfort, we recommend bringing dry snacks, chocolate bars, or energy foods, especially during long walks or hikes. We will accommodate local villagers' houses, so better to carry a sleeping bag for your extra comfort. It’s also wise to pack basic medicines or a small first-aid kit, as healthcare facilities in remote areas may be limited. For mobile connectivity, purchasing a Nepali SIM card with a data pack is advisable, since internet access can be limited in the villages.
