Embark on an unforgettable journey through the heart of Nepal with our Kathmandu Nagarkot tour package. This meticulously crafted itinerary combines the rich cultural heritage of Kathmandu with the breathtaking natural beauty of Nagarkot. Legends say Kathmandu Valley used to be a large pond and it became habitable only after Manjushree cut a hill to drain the water out. The Valley is a treasure trove in terms of art and architecture, culture and tradition. An old saying says: ‘There are more temples than houses and more idols than people in Kathmandu.’ You can find numerous temples dedicated to different gods and goddesses in every nook and corner of the Valley. Most of these temples are built in pagoda style – often multi-storied with slanting roofs but each successive roof is smaller. The three cities in the Valley – Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur – used to be three independent kingdoms about 300 years ago. They used to be ruled by the Malla kings. They built many temples and palaces which are standing tall even today. This special tour package takes you to these architectural grandeurs of the Kathmandu Valley.

Nagarkot is a popular hill station on the outskirts of Kathmandu. Situated at an altitude of 2,175 meters above level, it is some 30 kilometers east of Kathmandu city center. Nagarkot is a popular destination for mountain and sunrise views in Kathmandu Valley. On clear days, one can sight mountains ranging from Dhaulagiri in the west to as far as Kanchenjunga in the east including the majestic Mount Everest (8848m) -- the tallest peak on earth. Other prominent peaks that can be sighted from Nagarkot are Manaslu (8,463m), Ganesh Himal (7,111m) and Langtang (7,246m). Nagarkot is also rich in the culture and traditions of local people. You can stay in homestay facilities operated by local people to get a taste of authentic Nepali hospitality. This beautiful place is popular among foreign tourists for sunrise views.
