The Gorkha Homestay Trek, organized by Iconic Holiday Nepal, offers a unique and immersive experience in the heart of Nepal. Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Bhachek, a traditional village located 163 km from the capital city of Nepal at an elevation of 1750 meters. In Bhachek, you'll be welcomed by your host family, experiencing the warmth of Nepalese hospitality firsthand. The next day, you will trek to Sirandanda. From Bhachek you will visit another beautiful village Namki, before reaching to Sirandanda. Namki is famous for its panoramic views of many villages of Gorkha and Lamjung. If you wish to stay in Namki, there are a lot of local hotels and homestays.

On the third day, you'll hike to Nagepokhari, a stunning heart-shaped pond located in Ghyachowk at an altitude of 3250 meters. After three hours of hike, you will reach a beautiful pond called Nagepokhari, covered by beautiful trees. The following day, you will head to Barpak, a village that has been resiliently rebuilt after the 2015 earthquake. Barpak is predominantly inhabited by the Gurung people, known for their rich culture and history with the Gurkha Army. Here, you'll immerse yourself in the Gurung way of life, exploring their customs, traditions, and language.

Continuing the trek, you'll reach Laprak, another village rich in cultural heritage similar to Barpak. The trek culminates at Machakhola, the starting point of the popular Manaslu Circuit Trek. After a fulfilling journey, you'll return to Kathmandu via a 4WD jeep, carrying unforgettable memories of the landscapes, cultures, and communities you've experienced. Early morning after breakfast we will move to Bhachek, Located around 163 kilometres west of Kathmandu, Bhachek lies at an elevation of 1,750 metres above sea level. The peaceful surrounding boasts a backdrop of magnificent Himalayan panorama

Starting from Bhachek, a hill station known for its scenic views and local market, we trek towards Sirandanda. The journey takes us through the beautiful village of Namki, offering a glimpse into local life. Arriving at Sirandanda, we enjoy stunning vistas and the tranquil atmosphere. we will stay overnight in sirandanda.

Early in the morning, we will hike to Nagepokhara, a 2-hour trek that offers breathtaking mountain vistas. After enjoying the stunning views, we will return to Sirandanda for an overnight stay, soaking in the serene surroundings and local culture. Be sure to carry some dry food, as there are no human settlements or tea houses beyond Sirandanda.

Today, we will walk to Barpak, a village on the northern side of the Gorkha district that was heavily affected by the 2015 earthquake. Although there is now a road connecting to Barpak, we will take a more scenic route on foot, exploring small villages along the way. We will pass through beautiful landscapes and cross the Daraudi River before ascending to the picturesque village of Barpak.

An easy walk today, the trail is uphill in the beginning from Barpak. The trail passes through the beautiful rhododendron forest. If you happen to be there in spring season, you will see the hills covered with different coloured rhododendron flowers. We climb gently till Bhosu Khang (2800m), today's highest point where we stop for a while and enjoy the view of the Ganesh Himal range and Buddha Himal (6672m). Then we slowly descend towards Laprak village, a beautiful Gurung village. Before we reach Laprak village, we pass through Gupsi Danda where the new houses are being built for the Lapraki people after the earthquake, in 2015.

From Laprak, our trek to Macha Khola will take us through Ghumda village, renowned for its stunning views of Ganesh Himal and Boudha Himal. After enjoying the vistas, we'll continue for about 1.5 hours to the small Village of Yam Gaon. From there, the trail leads smoothly to Lapsibot, where a motor road begins. Descending for approximately 2 hours, we will finally reach Macha Khola, concluding our day's journey amidst beautiful landscapes and village life.

From Machakhola to Kathmandu, covering about 140 kilometers can take 7-8 hours due to challenging off-road conditions. The journey offers scenic views of rural landscapes and distant mountains, with options including a quicker but pricier private jeep or a more economical local bus with longer travel times.

    The trip ends, our Airport Representative will drop you to the Kathmandu International Airport for your final flight departure from Nepal.
