We will meet you in Kathmandu upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport. Our team will be at the airport to welcome you and take you to the hotel. You will have a few hours to unpack and rest. Later in the evening, our guide will pick you up from the hotel and drive you to the Pashupatinath temple. You will have ample time to worship and attend aarti. After the aarti, drive back to the hotel. End the day exploring the bustling streets of Thamel.

After breakfast, today we will leave for Pokhara via flight. Tribhuvan Airport is the only airport in the Kathmandu valley from where your domestic flight operates. Today, we have an early morning flight to Jomsom. The flight will be short and stunning. The snow-capped mountains will blow your mind. From Jomsom, we take an hour-long jeep ride to Muktinath temple. The ride goes along the Kali Gandaki River and offers arid landscapes. At Muktinath, we will spend an hour worshiping and getting blessings. After doing puja, return to Jomsom for the night stay.

Wake up early morning, then transfer best view station, Sarangkot lies at 1600m. Sarangkot is known for its panoramic Himalayan views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Manaslu. We have kept one more full day in Kathmandu. On this day, first transfer to Pashupatinath for Abhishek, normally starting from 9 am to 11:30 am. Then, visit Guhyeshwari Temple is one of the revered holy temples. It lies about 1 km east of Pasupanath and is located near the banks of the Bagmati River in Kathmandu. The Budhanilkantha Temple, also known as the "Sleeping Vishnu" Temple, is a sacred Hindu temple located in the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal. Back to the hotel for lunch, then evening we will visit the Swyambhunath stupa, also popularly known as a name of Monkey Temple.

    Difficulty & Altitude Sickness

    The Muktinath temple tour from Kathmandu is leisurely. You do not need any past high-altitude experience or muscular fitness to join this tour. There is no prolonged or challenging walking involved in this tour. We use a four-wheeler to drive to Muktinath from Jomsom and vice versa. So, all you walk is while visiting the temple. Talking about altitude sickness, there is a slight chance of it. But you do not have to worry; our trained and experienced guide will care for you. Muktinath temple is situated at 3,710 meters, and we only spend a few hours at this elevation and drop to Jomsom at 2,743 meters to spend the night. To avoid altitude sickness, we recommend you drink plenty of water and not smoke or consume alcoholic drinks.

    Best Time

    The best time for the Muktinath tour from Kathmandu are spring and autumn. These two seasons have stable weather and a mild climate, which makes the journey excellent. You get to see lush vegetation and a stunning mountain panorama. The road condition is also ideal, so you will not see any jams. You can also do a Muktinath tour in the winter, but you have to be well prepared to see frequent changes in weather and unclear visibility. Likewise, you have to pack lots of warm clothes.

    Note: The best time to fly to Jomsom is during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November)

You will get a spacious room with an attached washroom. While in Jomsom, you will spend a night in a clean and comfortable lodge with an attached bathroom. We provide three daily meals during the tour- breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You are free to have additional snacks and drinks on your own. The menu will have a wide variety of food, from Nepali and Indian dishes to Western options.

Or, you can drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara to Jomsom to Muktinath. And the last easiest and quickest option is to take a helicopter ride from Kathmandu to Muktinath.

    • Indians and other SAARC nationals have to pay Rs. 200 per person to enter Muktinath. Whereas citizens of other nationals have to pay Rs. 2000 to enter Muktinath. If you are traveling with us, then all the permits are included in our package cost, and you do not have to pay any additional money.

    • The best months to visit Muktinath are September, October, November, March, April, and May. These months have the best weather and climate for Muktinath Darshan.

    • If you are not a Nepali citizen, then you will need a passport and tourist visa to enter Nepal (except Indians).

    • Yes, snowfalls in Muktinath. You can expect snowfall from late November/early December till February.

    • There are approximately 300 staircases altogether in the Muktinath temple.

    • From Kathmandu, the first 300 kilometers of road are well-paved, so you will have a smooth ride. After Beni, there are another 75 kilometers to reach Muktinath. This 75 km of road is uneven and very bumpy

    • Yes, you can go to Muktinath by bike. Make sure to rent a bike that is ideal for mountainous trails.
